I think the thing that is most appealing to me about painting is simply the feeling of pushing the paint around with the brush. It is a form of meditation for me and has helped me to connect on a deeper spiritual level with the creative forces of the universe. As far as design goes I love natural, organic shapes and bold use of color and lines. I am primarily attracted to the abstract shapes and lines of nature, which are paramount to my choices of subject matter. My landscape and nature paintings are created using water-soluble oils in a thick, impressionistic alla-prima style. Alla-prima refers to painting in one session while the paint is still wet.

our customer reviews of their favorite coffeehouse

They always are friendly, the cafe is well lit, they play very nice music, usually jazz. The paintings and pottery displayed are very interesting, and often intriguing. It has free wi-fi, so it's a great place to hang out and use my laptop for college work, or whatever. Since I go there often, Rob, the owner knows me, and knows that I like my coffee cooled down a little bit, so he puts ice cubes in my coffee without me asking usually. Best cafe I have ever been in, cafe
